There are so many memories that we create throughout our lives. Some we wish that we could forget and others that we will cherish for a lifetime. One of my favorite memories of Berlin will definitely be the quite but deeply meaningful walk that I took with my grandson Jameson. when I asked him if he wanted to go outside he excitedly put on his superman boots, coat and scarf faster than you could blink an eye.

Together we headed out the door .
It was just he and I exploring outside of his apartment one afternoon. For most of the walk I just followed him and watched as he paced up and down the paths.

Without even a word spoken I felt more connected to Jameson that afternoon than possibly ever before.

innocence at its best
That evening I was reflecting on my day and I realized that so often in life we say so much with our words but we don’t really see,hear, or feel what the other person might really be saying. So the next time that I have an opportunity to have a conversation or spend time with someone that I care about…I am going to try my hardest to use my two ears and two eyes twice as much as my one mouth. Maybe you might try this technique too:)
I would love to hear your experiences in life that you were able to see something special just by being a little less talkative and more observant.
