Vanessa’s Top 10 Ways To Shower Yourself With Love.
February 14th is the “official” day to shower your love on all of the people that you care about. I am sure your I love you list is well thought out…BUT, I bet your list is missing the most important person…YOU! While there is definitely merit to the phrase, it’s better to give than receive…We must not forget to refill our own love reservoir. We get so busy taking care of everyone else that our own love tank eventually starts running on fumes. You know what I’m talking about…exhaustion sets in, the clouds start to form and before you know it, you’re a weeping ball of “I feel so unloved and like an untaken care of mess!” Don’t wait for the one day a year that’s allotted for a love fest … One day can’t possible refill your tank for an entire year. It’s time we stopped waiting for someone else to love us and make us feel special and worthy…Today is the day to take back our power…We are fully in control of our own self-love boat…
Don’t worry if you feel like you’re drowning and have no idea where to begin… Put on your life preserver and listen carefully as I give you My Top 10 Ways To Refill Your Own Love Boat … No one else required! *Except for the massage therapist and the shoe salesman:))))
1. Start your day with an I love you … Before your feet hit the floor, open your mouth and say I love you……I am beautiful…I am loved……I am perfect.

2. Put on your gym shoes and head into the gym for a good old-fashioned sweat and heart pumping workout. Nothing says I love and care about you better than a butt-kicking workout!
3. Feed yourself with love by starting the day out with a delicious green smoothie … a breakfast filled with the mighty power of greens will keep your engine in peak performance!

4. Light your favorite candles and fill the bath with your favorite scented bubbles…enjoy a long and lingering muscle soothing experience.
5. Turn up the music and dance your heart out!
6. Have a date night with yourself…Pop on your favorite chick flick and enjoy a bowl of salted hot air popcorn and a container of chocolate frozen soy yogurt… no sharing necessary and you get to control the remote!
7. Make like a kitty and take a delicious nap… It’s amazing what a 30 minute catnap can do for your internal spirit, as well as your energy and patience level.
8. Book yourself a 2 hour massage…Why only take one hour when you can have two hours of bliss!
9. Pull out your crayons and bring out your inner Picasso… No one is judging, just enjoy the freedom of self expression.
10. GO shopping… Not online, but actually take a shower and put on a bit of makeup and enjoy the human contact! Nothing will make your feet and heart go pitter-patter faster than a beautiful new pair of Jimmy Choos! Not into shoes, that’s ok… Head into your local makeup department and pick up that perfect shade of red lipstick that you have been meaning to buy… for the last 5 years!

Hi Vanessa! What a lovely to-do list you have posted 🙂 Valentine’s Day is extra special this year for me and my husband. Since he is not traveling these days he is HOME on February 14th! I have a day off from teaching, I have completed my studies for the week already and I plan to take a hot yoga class, get myself on one of the cardio machines at the gym, get my hair done, and spend the rest of the afternoon writing my book! Then to top off the evening, a dinner out with some of our favorite people! I may let Valentine’s Day spill over into the weekend 🙂 Namaste
