A trip to Gilcrease Orchard

A couple of weeks ago my family and I decided to take a Sunday trip to Gilcrease orchard to pick out pumpkins for the season.

We had a great time walking through the farm looking for the perfect pumpkins to bring home for carving.Along the way my girls picked a few green beans and even a sweet potato or two.

Sadly we found the farm pretty picked over but I do think this is just one of the many signs that points to our desire to have fresh produce….even in the desert people want home-grown produce.
