Smoothie adventures in Germany
As soon as I arrived to my daughter’s apartment in Berlin she introduced me to her blender.

We unpacked my bags and headed out the door for our first shopping trip to stock up the fridge.
With rolling bags in tow we made our way to the local Bio Market about a mile away on foot. The most important ingredients on the list were the smoothie ingredients.
I was so pleased that we could easily find delicious smoothie ingredients in Berlin.
We bought Fresh spinach, fresh Kale, romaine lettuce, Flax seeds, soy milk, strawberries, carrots, cherry tomatoes, bananas, frozen blueberries, grapes and raspberries.
We were ready and armed for our first smoothie…even after sheer exhaustion of approximately 16 hours of travel…I was in the kitchen making a dinner smoothie for me and the family.
I had packed several containers of my JuicePlus Complete and my must have key ingredient brewers yeast in my suit case.
I proceeded to put a bit of each of our ingredients above plus some ice and water to create my official first of many smoothies in Germany.

I used to say my biggest smoothie fan was my grandson…AKA The little prince…BUT my daughter Brittany and Tristan equally seem excited for me to prepare my magic smoothies.. The truth be told sometimes they have begged me to make as much as three smoothies a day!! Yes…..three times in a day!!!
I feel so happy that I was able to capture my grandsons play by-play moves as he enjoys his smoothie!

Jameson had already finished his smoothie and now he was moving in on Mom’s.

Sometimes I feel like a puppy who is so happy to get a cuddle.
When it comes to my loved ones complimenting my Plantfire cooking skills I just get more drive and desire to continue feeding them.
When I prepare something that they love and that I know truly nourishes their bodies and tastes delicious… my heart just grows fuller and happier.
I would love to hear your best smoothie sharing stories! Also feel free to share your favorite smoothie recipes!
Please share this post and tweet it if you tweet!
Healthy hugs from Berlin,

Love the cute photos of your grandson enjoying the smoothie you made! I started making alot of smoothies when I was pregnant. It helped me get the extra calories and nutrients that I needed. I made them every single day! Then was my little one was old enough he started enjoying them too and even helped to make them. We always freeze the leftover smoothie into popsicle molds. Smoothies are such an easy snack or meal to make
It has been so fun watching him run to the blender every morning with a big smile on his face:)
