Don’t be fooled by the word Reeses in it, I guarantee that this recipe has nothing to do with that commercially unhealthy chocolate! Allow me to educate you at this point about Reese’s Peanut Butter Products. (This is an excerpt in my E-Cookbook, “The Chocolate Lovers Guide To Plant-Based Indulgence” available here- http://vanessachamberlin.com/product/chocolate-ebook/ )
“Brace Yourself..
To put it bluntly, the chocolate and peanut butter are both fake. The “peanut butter” is ladened with artificial ingredients that are high in fat, calories and sugar. Do you know how many calories are in just one cup? 230! Eat 2 of them and you’re at 460 calories!
Among the Reese’s ingredients we have TBHQ which is an acronym to describe tertiary butylhydroquinone, which is an antioxidant that comes from petroleum and is related to butane. It is often used as a preservative, applied either to Reese’s products in order to preserve “quality.” Consuming up to 1 gram of TBHQ can cause varying levels of toxicity to occur within our bodies, and up to 5 grams can be fatal.”
The Mixed Reeses are only composed of two yummy rockstar ingredients, but you can always add little bits of your favorite fruits or nuts! Let’s talk about some of the amazing health benefits you’ll get when you take a bite of this yummy treat care of our vegan chocolate chips:
