Did you know that Guacamole was made by the Aztecs by at least the 16th century? The name comes from an Aztec dialect via Nahuat [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][aːwakaˈmolːi], which literally translates to “avocado sauce.” The Aztec’s knew how to get their nutrients in a tasty way!

Ingredients:
2 avocados
1 green pear, diced
1/4 C pomegranate seeds
2 Tbsp lime juice
kosher salt, to taste
Instructions:
1. Peel and pit the avocados, add them to a bowl and mash well with a fork.
2. Add the other ingredients, mix well. Serve and enjoy!
