Meatless Monday – Bella’s Chocolate Monkey Soft Serve Ice Cream
Beat The Heat with This Creamylicious Soft Serve!
Last summer was a total blast for my entire family- beach time, dance party showdown and of course inventing fun, healthy and yummy recipes to add to my Plantfire food-galore hit list! So for today, I am ecstatic to share Bella’s recipe that she created over the summer – the Chocolate Monkey Soft Serve Ice Cream!
A delightful soft serve blended to perfection. The frozen bananas can make a pretty fabulous ice cream (also a smart way to use up overripe ones.) All the other wonderful ingredients can add so much flavor to this perfect dessert- vegan, gluten-free, non-dairy and no bad sugar included!
This phenomenal creation is an easy way to stay cool, while enjoying the company of family and friends! In case you’re wondering how healthy this new and marvelous treat is, bananas are known for its high calcium and Vitamin B6 content. Plus here are some major health benefits of one of the rockstar ingredients, the cocoa powder:
So buckle up coz it is time for the one and only….
Bella’s Chocolate Monkey Soft Serve Ice Cream
Ingredients:
2 frozen bananas
4-tablespoons almond milk
1-teaspoon cinnamon
2-teaspoons of cocoa powder
fresh strawberries for toppings
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender, then blend lightly. Be sure to not over blend for a soft serve ice cream consistency.
2. Top with fresh strawberries!
