Garlic Infused Cabbage
Garlic Infused Cabbage |
- 1/2 large head cabbage OR one whole small cabbage, cut into wedges (green or red cabbage is fine)
- 4 or more large cloves of garlic, sliced
- sea salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- Place the cabbage wedges into a wide saucepan or large deep skillet with a lid.
- Scatter the garlic over the cabbage.
- Sprinkle with salt & pepper.
- Pour the broth over the cabbage (don’t worry if the cabbage is not immersed, it will soak up the broth while it cooks).
- Bring the liquid to a boil.
- Turn down to low heat, cover & cook until the cabbage is tender, about 10-20 minutes, depending on how done you like your cabbage.
- As the dish cooks, the flavors of the broth and garlic are infused into the cabbage, which results in a wonderfully delicious way to enjoy this healthy vegetable.
