Who doesn’t love pizza? I personally have never met a pizza that I didn’t fall madly and deeply in love with. The problem is that most traditional pizza is extremely fattening and artery clogging. I don’t know about you but I can’t just have one slice… I have been known on more than one occasion to eat an entire pizza by myself… in one sitting. This week’s video recipe shows you a simple way to make an extremely quick and low-fat pizza that your whole family will not only love, but will want to help you create as well.
We generally have each family member create their own pizza from the healthy toppings provided. One of our favorite pizza crusts happens to be a simple whole wheat flour or spelt tortilla. Just paint the sauce on the tortilla with a sauce brush and let your inner artist come out to play! The sky is the limit… think of all of the amazing vegetables and even pineapple or mangos to top and create your own unique pizza. We love using Daiya cheese (plant-based variety) instead of the regular fat and artery clogging animal cheeses.
