When we look at endless photos of ‘perfect’ women it starts desensitizing us to our own true beauty.. Even though we know that there has been retouching, tons of hair and makeup, lighting, and the model is actually 12 and not 30.. it still messes up our mind and psyche, especially when this is what we are comparing ourselves to. Media tries to tell us that this is what we must aspire to become.. This is NOT the norm.
We went around local Las Vegas and asked a few women – How do you see beauty as being portrayed by media? What is true beauty to you? Their answers are amazing! Make sure to watch the video to hear the insights of these lovely ladies.
True beauty isn’t found in outside sources, it starts in your own mirror.
That natural reflection of you.. that’s true beauty.
At the end of the video Vanessa gives you a mirror challenge.. are you ready to take on this goal?
Stop tuning in to outside sources and start tuning into the beautiful women staring back at you!
Question: What is true beauty to you, how would you express beauty beyond the media’s criteria?
