Looking for a way to add more zing to your recipes?
One of my favorite ways to use a lemon or a lime is in a soup. I picked up this simple tip from my beloved Rosa…aka my partner in the kitchen. Rosa is from Mexico and she uses limes and lemons in almost all of her family recipes. I saw her squeezing a lime into one of my soup recipes one day and after one bite, I was hooked. Rosa had taken my soup from good to amazing!
The best way to get the most bang for your buck is to add some lemon or lime zest into your soup, as well as to squeeze the lime or lemon onto the soup before serving.
Lemons helps maintain healthy teeth and bones. The vitamin C in lemons help the body to metabolize calcium. I always squeeze fresh lemon on my mixed greens to help my body absorb the calcium better.

Love your wonderful tips Vanessa. Here is one from me. I too like my Wm. Sonomas zester. I freeze a lemon or a lime and use it when I need to add to a dish. I then put it back in the freezer.
Enjoy!
