A Journey To Yummyland!

Let’s start the day by going on a trip to Italy via a super delicious dish that is bursting with flavor and nutrients. A hearty, healthy plant-based creation featuring the sprouted bean trio, colorful veggies, a taste of tomatoes and of course garbanzo beans and green beans. Oh yeah, I love beans!

Making food healthier without sacrificing the taste is what I’ve always practiced in my kitchen. All taste fantastic in this rich Italian Bean Trio Stew, overflowing with vibrant veggies and all kinds of nourishing beans.

The sprouted bean trio has a mixture of sprouted lentils, adzuki and mung beans, which is very easy to cook following the instructions on the package. A serving of this mixture will empower your body with fiber and protein to keep you going through the day. At this moment, allow me to address the health benefits from the other kind of beans…

Healthy and tasty meals should not be so complicated. Now it’s time to indulge!

Italian Bean Trio Stew

Ingredients:

1 cup sprouted bean trio

2 lbs. frozen mix vegetables

½ lb. frozen green beans

½ lb. frozen pearl onions

1- 28oz. can tomatoes Italian style

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1- 15oz. can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained

sea salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sprouted bean trio according to the instructions from the package, then set it aside.
  2. In a big pot, sauté with water the onion and garlic for 5 minutes. Then add the frozen veggies and keep cooking for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Add the sprouted bean trio and the garbanzo beans until its cooked.
  4. Season with seal salt and pepper. Serve over your favorite grain or pasta. Enjoy!

    I don’t understand what a bean trio is or where to get it.

      Hi Jennifer! Basically the sprouted bean trio contains mung beans, lentils and adzuki beans. You can grab one at Costco and it is very easy to prepare, just follow the instructions on the package. Hope you can try this recipe soon in order to enjoy the healthy benefits of the bean trio! Take care!
