Trick or treat

First of all on Halloween night plan a hearty meal such as a nice bowl of chili to fill your goblins little tummies before they head out for the big night of candy scavenging.

The fuller their bellies the less likely they are to over indulge.

On Halloween night I allow my girls to pick a candy to eat during the trick or treating process.

After the girls finish knocking on as many doors as possible we head back home to count the candy.

The girls pick out there top 3 or 4 pieces of candy and the rest is sold to me for money that they can then use at the store to buy a special toy or book.
