One of the first things that I tell my friends and clients to do when trying to get their children to happily adopt a Plantfire Lifestyle is to get creative at the grocery store and farmers’ market. One of the first games that I played with my girls was the “What the heck is that?”… produce game. Each time we hit the produce isle, we are on the look out for some new and different fruit or vegetable that we have never tried before. The goal is to pick a piece of produce that we have never tried and then to bring it home, prepare it and then taste it! The only rule is that you must taste it with open mind and heart. This has been such a fun and creative way to expand our entire families eating repertoire. Hint… This also works well with picky adults who may have led a sheltered produce lifestyle.
