An Apple A Day…

Today’s plant-based treat is served with such succulent sweet apples, plus some healthy old-fashioned oatmeal and wonderful raisins, which come in a beautiful delicious bar! Yes, the Oatmeal Apple and Raisin Bars are the perfect all-natural energy snack, breakfast or dessert that contains no sugar, no oil and no dairy. These bars are the chewy homemade version, which exude the perfect taste of natural sweetness.

A healthy and delightful, quick recipe, where all the ingredients provide wonderful nutritional benefits. An apple boosts the immune system and has anti-cancer properties. The oatmeal lowers cholesterol and stabilizes blood sugar. The raisins promote good blood circulation and develop superior memory power. All these amazing health benefits are packed in just one tasty bar!

It’s time to live the sweet life!

Oatmeal Apples and Raisin Bars

Ingredients:

¼ cup hemp seeds

2 ½ cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 ¾ cups nondairy milk (or water)

1 large apple, skin on, shredded

½ cup raisins

1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

¼ cup ground flax seeds

 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together.
  2. Spread and form in a baking pan, lined with parchment paper or silpat. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until lightly brown on top. Let cool and cut into snack bars. Serve and enjoy.
