My Version of Plant-Based Skittles In A Bowl!
There is nothing better than a fresh fruit salad to refresh and revitalize you this summer! So without further ado, let me present my latest plant-based perfection- the Kumquat Fruit Salad! This salad is something divine, something that packs a punch, when you discover the burst of all the flavors incorporated in it!
A fruit salad that is a must for the season! There is a kind of irony in its sour-state-sweetness that exudes an impossibly cheerful taste to your palate! The mixture of all things citrus is such a powerful force in this recipe that one can hardly resist. Imagine when a spoonful enters your mouth- boom! A jolt of sweet, citrusy, and tartness hit your taste buds! Clearly a heavenly experience you will come back for more!
The Kumquat Fruit Salad is very easy to make. All you have to do is cut, chop, slice and toss and you’re ready to go! Get ready for an explosive flavor of summer!
Kumquat Fruit Salad
8-10 sliced kumquats
2 medium ripe mangoes, cut into thin slices
2 clementines, peeled & sectioned
2 oranges, peeled and sectioned
1 pint strawberries, rinsed and quartered
½ cup jicama, cut into long pieces
1 teaspoon lime zest
2 tablespoons lime juice
pink Himalayan salt to taste
cayenne pepper (optional)
lime zest (for garnish)
- Place the fruits in a large bowl and gently toss.
- Sprinkle the fruits with the lime juice then season it with the Himalayan pink salt according to your taste. Gently toss until all flavors are combined.
- Place in a serving bowl and garnish it with the lime zest. Serve and enjoy! =)
