Another awesome addition to your favorite list is the Sweet Dreams With a Cherry On Top Smoothie! A mouth-watering blend of cherries and bananas, which are perfect fruits for a smoothie with all the natural sweetness they provide. The taste is what I call magic!

This smoothie is packed with nutrients to make your body in great shape. You can even add protein, which is ideal for a post work out indulgence.

One powerful benefit of this smoothie is its anti-inflammatory aid that is an excellent way to restore and strengthen the muscles. Plus, the most natural and tasty sleep aid I would ever recommend. Bananas contain a high amount of magnesium, a calming mineral. Soy milk contains trytophan, the sleep-inducing amino acid. And of course, the vibrant cherries, which are great sources of melatonin- the sleep hormone. Allow me to give you more health benefits from this superfood, the cherry….

Sweet Dreams With A Cherry On Top Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen cherries

½ frozen banana

½ cup soy milk

1 teaspoon of ground flax

¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Combine frozen cherries, banana, soy milk, ground flax and vanilla extract in a blender.
  1. Add a handful of ice if not using frozen fruit or if you desire a thicker, more ice cream like consistency. Blend until smooth. Serve and enjoy!
